I did that lesson I posted about to Mrs. Hook yesterday. I need to know what backing agressively means? My mare did well sort of....she was interested in the grass but we worked on the Whoa.....and when she got it wrong or was not where I wanted her I backed her up. But aggressively??? Please explain....I am going to keep working on this.
Aggressive backing to me means that you are forcing your horse to move backwards quickly. You aren't gently tugging and having her move one leg then the other but are sending a signal down the lead line and in your body language that she needs to move NOW.

She needs to understand that YOU are making HER move and will continue to do so until you decide to stop.
