Hi all!
I am just getting back into horses after being away for several years and raising my family. I have 4 boys (oldest in college and youngest in 5th grade) and all are interested in varying degrees. lol We are in Indiana.
We got our first horse 2 weeks ago and I am so in love with him already. It was a perfect match. He is a 16 year old tobiano gelding. Registered as half Arab and Pinto. He comes from Iowa and the breeders use the name Pandemonium on their horses.
He is in rough shape, 100 pounds underweight, feet need work, ect. I had his shoes off and him trimmed. Wormed him too.
Bravo Pandemonium as a Yearling (I found this pic of him on the breeders website)

Bravo now with my 12 year old, Kiernan

Then we have been given a registered Paint 8 year old mare named Lexie.

We just brought Lexie home Thursday. We had to move to a new boarding place.

Bravo still needs quite a bit of weight. It is hard to tell with the saddle on. He actually came from that Strawtown Auction in Noblesville. We got him from the man who bought him at it.
We mainly want to trail ride, kids may do 4H. |

Just got back from Monk's Mule and Horse camp in the Hoosier National Forest. Had a great time. My husband Sam rode with me for the 1st time with his new horse, Patrick. They both did great! Was very disappointed that trail 15 was closed. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Weather was perfect! Camping was great! Company even better! Now, back to reality.

Hi All..... Well, we made it to Colorado to ride (and back!!). Had a great time, in spite of a stressful trip out there (3 flat trailer tires in the first 2 days!).
It may take me a short while to get pics posted, if anyone's interested in seeing them.
We rode first at Rocky Mountain National Park, then went to the Flat Tops Wilderness (our favorite place, by far!), then Roosevelt National Forest/Commanche Wilderness near Poudre Canyon. Great places. We're already planning to return next summer/fall!

Ok, here goes...
We left Indiana on Friday the 13 (shoulda known, right?). We made it exactly 100 miles and had 2 trailer tires blow out. 'Course it was over 100 degrees, etc. The horses did fine. I won't bore you with the flat tire stories. We took 3 days/2 nites to get there, altho we could have made it in 2 long days. First stop: Winding River Resort, Rocky Mountain National Park, near Grand Lake, CO. Our campsite:

Very nice place, a lot of ammenities, but not many people there. A guy we sometimes ride with hauled his horses, too, and he had family fly out and ride with him. As you ride out of the campground and cross the bridge to the trailheads, you can ride thru the Colorado river instead of crossing the bridge. If you remember what the Colorado looked like in my posts from the Grand Canyon.....quite different here at the northern headwaters, heh?!

Riding along the Colorado..

A bit farther down the trail:

There were many bridges on the trails. Every creek that we encountered or rode along was LOUD. You could hardly hear yourself think. Too bad that doesn't come across in the pics.

A rocky section of trail. This was on the way up the side of the mountain. I think we gained about a thousand feet or so this day, our second of riding. The first day we took only a short 2-3 hr ride, staying mostly flat. Of course, "flat" was about 8,500 ft! The horses did fine. I may be mistaken, but I think their spleen can release more red blood cells to compensate for the altitude. Heaven knows that our two were NOT in shape at all, and they did fine.

This was as far as we got. The pic doesn't do it justice. It was a narrow trail with a sharp drop-off on one side, and a very steep upside. We had encountered a blowdown of 3 trees. Paul and John took turns sawing (I gave Paul a cool trail saw for his bd that worked really well), but couldn't clear it. There was barely room for the horses to turn around. And to add to it, hikers kept coming down the trail, having to pass the horses in their precarious positions. All went well. Thank goodness for calm, experienced trail horses!

The next day we rode to Cascade Falls. We rode along this pretty meadow.

After that, the trail became QUITE challenging! This is a series of steep rock-stairs, marked "One Way Only for Stock." When we got to the top and curled around, we were at a series of pretty waterfalls.

The falls, altho this is NOT a representative pic. sorry

There were several of these "outhouses" on the trail. No roof, no door, the boards weren't solid all the way around. Airconditioned!

As we left the falls and began the return trip, we had to negotiate (again) a hair-raising ledge, with a steep drop-off. There were several sections of this. Add in several groups of hikers, (a few actually reached out from the uphill side to pat the horses as they went by, which was hairy!), and I must say that I almost needed a change of underwear and a beer when I got thru these sections!

The next day, our last at RMNP, it was drizzly, but no steady rain. So of course we went out again. Came across a momma moose and her long-legged baby on the way out, (second day in a row), but on the way back she was really close. We had to (respectfully) shoo her off the trail! We also rode beside a huge meadow of more than 50 elk.

Elk bling!
Momma moose

Whew! That's all I can do and probably all you can stand for one post. Sorry! I'll try to post pics tomorrow from the other 2 places; I have a lot less pics of them. All in all I took about 300 pics. Gotta love digital!
One last: there was a cute bird who ate with Gilbert and Kip every day. Certified weed free hay, $10/bale and hard to find, but required on every public land. Always an adventure...

PG, the pics don't convey the height or width. It WAS scary. The next set of pics I'll post will have another butt-clinching trail, but I don't think they look that bad, either! Sometimes I'm too busy concentrating on breathing to whip out the camera and take pics! LOL! The hikers can really complicate the matter, especially if they have been backpacking &/or fishing and have those big frames &/or fishing poles. And get this: there are special backcountry camps for those who hike/camp with LLAMAS! And since there are several camps designated for llamas, I'm assuming it's fairly common. I thought I was some llama scat (?) on the trail once. I did think several times: Man, if we meet some hikers with llamas, I'm dead. Gilbert and Kip were great with everything, including elk and moose, but I think packed-up llamas would have been pretty "iffy!" |

Ok, we left Rocky Mt National Park and drove northwest to Meeker, then east to the Flat Tops Wilderness. No cell coverage and no towns around. We used an excellent book, Saddle Up Colorado, as a planning and reference book. The word on the Marvine Creek campground was that it's packed on weekends, and is nonreservable. Not wanting to take a chance on a site, and after many phone calls, I found a campground about 6 miles away from the trailhead, Fritzlan'. It's a no frills, not well-maintained camp, but the woman who runs it, Arlene, is a treasure....79 yrs old, a fountain of information and stories about the Flat Tops. She and her family were/are outfitters there.
Our campsite..

Horse accomodations. The creek below the corrals is really fast and loud. Quite a cool site for them.

Arlene has quite the sense of humor. These signs are on the doors of the stalls in the showerhouse.

The first day we rode East Marvine Creek trail. It gains 3,900 ft in elevation. We made it to about 1,1156, up to the Flat Top of that particular mt. Julie, we didn't do anything to get the horses ready, but that's mostly because it was so hot and humid around here the months before we left. Our horses are in a huge pasture with hills, so they maintain a certain level of fitness. Also, we walk when trailriding, give them rests, take good care of them. They didn't show ANY altitude effects other than needing frequent rest stops while climbing. I had read that horses have the ability to release extra redblood cells from their spleens to carry more O2 for high altitude situations. Ours did fine.
This is the Marvine Creek trailhead. The big corrals are rented for the season to outfitters. There are smaller corrals (a few) for the campsites.

I'll just post a bunch of pics....this trail was VERY difficult. Steep climbs, LOTS of rocks, a section of switchbacks across a grassy mountainside that was narrow, crumbling, and very very scary. We didn't make it the extra 4 miles round trip to the top of Big Marvine, but when we got on top it was...yes, FLAT! VERY pretty.

Our goal:

Lots of lakes. Marvine Creek Trail has a couple of 80+ acre lakes on it.

MUCH steeper than it looks!

Near the top...

Lunch on the flat top

Ducks!!

Ok, more later. That day wore us out. It was 9 hrs! Of course that includes all the "catch your breath" stops and about a 30-45 minute lunch. Still, the ascents and descents really hurt my back. |
If you can't be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.

The second day at the Flat Tops we rode the Marvine Creek trail. It was our favorite trail of the whole trip. We were tired from the day before, so we only rode about 4 hrs or so. This trail has lots of pretty lakes; some are huge! We only rode to the first one and had lunch, then turned around.

Lunch! We found a bunch of wild berries here for dessert. I kept an eye out for bears!

We left the Flat Tops and drove northeast to Roosevelt National Forest/ Commanche Wilderness.....camping at Jack's Gulch. There are 5 primitive, very nice campsites here, but only 2 are reservable. You can also dispersal camp in any of the close-by meadows. Here is our campsite.

The boys' accomodations.

Breakfast fire. Notice the horses are blanketed. It was probably in the high 30s at nite. During the day it got up to mid 70s, which was the warmest temps we had in Colorado. It was so nice to put on sweatshirts and fleece. Since it was so dry, (I guess), the 40s felt great, not nearly as cold as 40s around here would be.

Trails here around Jack's Gulch were nice, with some very pretty spots, but not as gorgeous as the previous two places. We did hit some dangerous, rocky, narrow trails in a few places where the trail following the creek has to go up along the side of the foothill. A bit scary, but doable.

big beaver pond, with dam and a lodge.

Memorial to a plane crew that crashed on the mountain. You can use GPS coordinates and ride to the plane crash site, but it's been dynamited so that not much remains.

Gilbert doesn't trust my map skills!

That's it! We took 3 days to get home. Horses did very well the entire trip. Already planning to go back next year, maybe camping out on the trail once or twice, so we can cover more ground. I highly recommend traveling with your horse, and would be happy to share any info re: horse travel or camping or anything! Thanks for going with us!

Oh, what great rides you had! Thanks for the pics!
Those narrow switchbacks at RMNP are where I learned to be paranoid about horses grabbing snacks along the trails! The horse I was riding was thinking more about eating than where she was putting her feet, and stumbled, sending me off in the process.
No llamas on the trails back then! Sounds like things are a bit more challenging now!

'plash, nope, our horses didn't seem to notice or care! We are so blessed with our trail horses. When we got to the huge field of elk, my horse, Gilbert, was very interested, but he didn't spook and stood his ground while I took a zillion pics. Then right after that we came upon the momma moose and stopped to take pics, and when we came around the next bend of the trail, thinking she had gone on with her baby, there she was ON the trail. I've heard of how aggressive and dangerous moose are, so I was a bit nervous. We didn't crowd her, just started shooing her, like driving cattle, and she moved on off the trail. Neither horse seemed to mind. They looked at her, ears at attention, but did what we asked, which was to move on along. Some of the narrow, rocky ledges were complicated by hikers and backpackers on the trail. Some even stuck their hands out to "pet the pretty horses" as we passed. Again, our boys had ears up and were very attentive, but did as we asked..."go on." I wouldn't have wanted to be on an inexperienced or very young horse. One thing about our horses is that we EXPECT them to go on calmly when we tell them to, and we don't focus our attention on the "scary thing." Nor do we want them to go toward it if they don't have to, or sniff it, or go in close. We just say, "it's ok" matter-of-factly" and "go on." I'm sure most of the trail riders on here do the same thing. |

THANK YOU, Thank You for taking us along.
I think Hookie would have passed out from the heights alone not withstanding the moose and elk.

Anyone remember when I did my vacation diary about this time last year? Gee, maybe I shouldn't've said that since I don't intend to do it this year .
Anyway, I'll be up to some major day riding at Salamonie State Forest, Lost Bridge West, or Tippecanoe State Forest. Anybody free from Sept. 4 to Sept. 20? Just be aware that I'll be at the ITRA Fall Ride at MTR Sept. 17,18, & 19 on site 22 if any of you happen to be around and want to stop in and say "Hi!". EZ will be on site 21 over that weekend.
I'm hoping to get back to Turkey Run while I'm off... either that or maybe Shades State Park that's right around the corner. I'll also be going back to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo and possibly Black Pine Animal Park near Albion (This is all in Indiana for those DE'ers who may not know ), and EZ told me the Children's Museum in Indianapolis is worth a shot, since I've never been there. I feel so lucky to be in a state with so many interesting places to go and see .
I guess I'm veering away from my original topic, aren't I? Anyway, if anyone is free for a day ride or going to be at the ITRA Fall Ride over these dates just let me know . Always like the company.

Nancy and I met today at her place for a Sunday afternoon ride! The weather was perfect and not too hot, for a change!
Maybe because things did get off to a very cool start this morning, Butterbrickle seemed edgy. She finally did settle down as we got into the ride. As usual, Nancy's trails were beautiful; we rode past wildflowers and down into the creek.
We saw something interesting as we stood near a cornfield; a whirl of wind sending pieces of cornstalk swirling a good 50 feet into the sky. It looked like a mini-tornado, and made us a little nervous, so we rode back into the woods.
Jasper is already a good trail horse, and will be an awesome one when he grows up! He is very level-headed, and especially for a 4 year-old.
After our ride, we went to the barn, where I got to visit with Rocky and Tag. It was a delightful Labor Day weekend ride!

Hey Vicki, glad you could join me! It was fun to ride with someone after riding Jasper alone most of the summer. I wish I had my camera to capture that dust devil. The the big leaves from the corn were flying & swirling in the air probably more like 100 feet in the air. It was awesome and scary at the same time. But our trusty mounts were fine with it. Thanks for riding with me!

This sounds like my kind of trail ride.
Can't help but wonder if Nancy got a photo of that mini-tornado.

I have been riding at clark with a couple of other gals and first one of my friends horse got the sores in the fetlock area then little scabs moved up to his knees and appeared to get worse if picked off, he has now got a warm swollen fetlock area. When I was washing my horse yesterday after we rode I noticed that Gotone now has sores up to her knees .Kinda like rainrot sores.I treated yesterday with schriners herbal solution and today got the fungicide spray. Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appriciated. No buggies have been seen!

Hi Beth Google "Scratches" I think that is what you are dealing with. It is a fungus that attaches to legs and creates sores. I have never had to deal with it so I can't give you any first hand info, but it is treated similar to rainrot.
I think you have Oil of Oregano, don't you? I would wash them really good and scrub off all the scabby stuff and apply the oregano. The idea is to keep the legs dry and put stuff on that will kill the fungus. |

| When I groomed race horses, we treated scratches with Desitin, the baby rash ointment. We scrubbed the area really well, pulling the scabs off and then dried it and finally applied a layer of Desitin. Takes some time to heal but this method always worked. |

| That is what we told my friend and she is on her 4th week of treating and it is getting worse and once again she said it seemed to be healing till she picked the crusty scabs off then it went crazy.I am treating mine as scratches with leaving the scabs but soaking with the fungicide but desitin will be the next try it on my list.We are both worming our kids also as a maybe. |

Heres' something for debate; what do you do when you and your horse encounter something strange or scary along the trail?
Dun mentioned in the thread about her Colorado trip that she expects her trail horses to calmly go by scary objects. I've noticed there seem to be two schools of thought on how to accomplish this. Some people try to train their horses to ignore the object entirely, and some will encourage the horse to go up to the scary object & touch it. I'm of the "pretend it isn't there" school of thought, but was wondering what others do.

I am the 'talker' type. If Blue and I come across something 'scary' then he usually stops and stares at it, as if to let me know its there. I'll talk him through with a gentle but confident voice and urge him forward with my heels. This calms him down when I act as if it has nothing to do with me, almost snobby in a way like it has no importance to us and therefore is no threat. Blue has only spooked twice with me in the two years I've had him, but if I treat his fear like its nothing to me then it boosts his confidence and then he takes on a haughty feel towards scary things...half the time though, I spook more than he does! Lol loud noises when I'm riding always sends me out of my skin! |

I lean towards the "help the horse understand that the scary thing is not a threat" and trust me when I tell you it is okay.
Seems to work for me but I also think preconditioning is a must if you are going to ride in Colorado with DunHorseChic. :) |

When I'm riding and my horse seems worried about an object, I ignore it and focus on going on. I usually talk to him and encourage him to go on. I don't like stopping and letting him stare at it. Often if you stop when you see an animal, that's when the animal will run scaring your horse, but if you keep moving the animal thinks it hasn't been noticed and will watch you pass. Now when I'm on the ground, I often show him strange things and let him sniff them. He seems to accept it more if I approach & touch it and show him its not a killer. |

For me it depends on the situation and the object. Sometimes we just understand the object isn't go to eat us and calmly move on and sometimes I encourage my horse to walk up to it. For instance, since I want to eventually jump Nakota, we have been riding the cross country course at the barn and walking/trotting up to and around the jumps (those are some horse eating objects LOL). Objects that scare the horse but are potentially dangerous to walk up to I just walk on by, encourgaging the horse to go calmly. Both Nakota and Tuff have learned to trust me and seem to look to me for the decision on whether we should remain calm or run for our ever loving lives |

Staying calm & just ignoring the scary object seems to be the best way to go, but, for me, that is one of the hardest things to do! Even though I TRY to not pass on my own fears to the horse, I think I often do.
Tag, you have a good point about encountering wild animals. Never thought about it in just that way, but stopping to look does seem to set your horse up for a spook.
Interesting story I heard at a meeting last year; an endurance rider was telling me how her horse spooked at snow-laden branches, so she trained him to go up to them to see they would not hurt him. What she ended up with, was a horse that would refuse to go by any drooping branches until he had thoroughly checked them out! Not quite what she had in mind.

| I follow both trains of thought here. Bullseye has a tendency to be spooky. He's sure that rocks and tree stumps are really horse eating things in disguise. Most of the time, I ignore it and just keep walking. Sometimes though, enough is enough and I make him stop and check it out. He knows when we get to that point, we are not leaving until his nose touches the "scary" object. It usually doesn't take long at all for him to "check it out" anymore. It helps that he trusts me. |

Blue and I have a bit of that relationsip, but he's very honest about it! lol If he knows we're going back to the trailer on a ride, he and I have to make a few circles before he'll finally straighten up and go in the right direction. He is also a 'Trail Snacker' and always knows when I've let my watchful eye on him slip away to something else, and grabs himself a bite. |

Hello All, I just bought this saddle at an auction, it's an older (but in excellent cond) western saddle, ser # 764I 16-45760. I'm trying to find out it's value, what it cost new and if it's a pleasure saddle, reining or other? I have pictures but unsure how to upload. You can email me at angieyoung35@yahoo.com
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Hi! I need help finding the proper sized Western saddle for my horse. He currently wears a narrow sized English saddle and I was wondering what size that transfers to in Western. He is an Arabian/ Haflinger/Quarter Horse cross and he is three years old. He stands at 15 hands high and has high withers and a pretty narrow shoulder. I rescued him from a lady that said she hated him and never fed him. He is fat now and I was wondering what sized western saddle to get him. Thanks!

| Would he wear regular quarter horse bars even though he wears a narrow English saddle? I thought he would need semi qh bars but I am new to the whole western thing. |

After our trail ride today I demo'ing Sassy for a lady looking for a trail horse. I was rideing her bare back and lost my balance and hit the dirt in the indoor arena. Sassy stopped as soon as I became unbalanced and stopped when I slipped over her shoulder. I got up and the lady says well she will stop when you fall huh. Nothing hurt but my pride. Will find out on Wednesday if she wants her or not.

Yes, well captured. Been there. Kids (and non-horse people) probably don't understand why we don't let them ride our horses, but even if they do, they REALLY probably don't understand how much, on the other hand, we'd like to let them ride and join us in horse addiction... if only.

I have two poems this time. I'm currently working on Sunny's.
.::BLUE::.
He is still Piercing eyes focused on the world ahead The morning sun splashes a ray Of golden light along his body Throwing his shadow before his feet He stares at something I cannot see But he isn’t afraid As long as we’re together, neither is afraid Warm breath bursts from him As if the wind itself churns within his chest Time is our enemy And yet, time is our only friend Time keeps us together But will inevitably, tear us apart Every second is precious to us I stand beside him Admiring him as he watches the world His eyes, so wise and searching Reflect the youth that he once knew The glorious days when all that mattered Was being free Now, his happiness no longer lies In the open spaces of a field But in a gentle touch in the early morning sun His happiness comes from hearing me call his name As my happiness comes from him simply touching his face to mine From being able to stand with him Both of us proud and strong against the world Even if its all a show We are both happy in this moment And thankful we can share it together He turns away from the beyond and the unknown And looks at me And in his blue eyes I can detect a slight sadness there As if he knows that we will not share this moment forever But for now, this moment is ours And we take it Human and animal Girl and horse Kindred souls who managed to find each other We live in this moment Its ours and ours alone He reaches out, touching his nose to my cheek and sighs His eyes closing, and I smile We part and stare out into the day for a heart beat..2..3.. Then we turn and shoulder to shoulder head for the barn And leave this precious, undying moment in our hearts Which forever, will beat as one.
.::Joker::.
Nostrils, coated in black velvet are thrown wide Thunder pours from his throat as a prideful, vicious roar His steel coat ripples and his ebon mane flies against the air Daring anyone to hold him back The ground quivers beneath him as he marches His eyes searching all around him He pauses, suddenly stops His body grows still and rigid, nothing around him stirs Almost as if life itself is waiting to see what happens next And if you watch closely then you may get to see beneath his metal hide, the muscles bunching And knotting, preparing for the pending explosion Then it happens He jumps, leaps, fires away Tail flung high into the air, to wave like a ceremonial banner He dances out across the field, prances, floats His head dips and he tosses it from side to side in rebellion Then throws it high in celebration of himself, his life, his mere existence on this planet He swings and drifts on feet that seem to be guided by the wind To face his audience of one Another explosion follows and instead of his show of pride and elegance This one is of raw, untamed power He bursts across the sea of green His body smoothing into the scenery of this world He is a blur, a smudge against the backline of trees Dark hooves birth deep cuts in the ground, marking his trail of flight Quick, guttural roars come from him now as forced grunts His belly only inches from the ground as his front and hind limbs grown lengths apart In each reaching stride Propelling him faster in his speed, out running any trouble that may plague him And showing any who oppose him that he cannot be tamed, that he cannot be conquered He slows and prances again, tail and head thrown high in self-adoration Like a prince of his kind He blows and snorts into the still air, his movement the only thing alive in the world He stops and searches… No challengers, no foes…he is unmatched Satisfied, he turns his lips to the grass and devours it Readying himself for the dawn, when he will start his show again

Not only did Deb's poem, Wooin' the Mule get published, but I've gotten some other good news as well.
I was notified that I passed my background check and will start work at a new job on Tuesday, Sept 7. More money, better benefits, more interesting work, nice people, etc.... I think the layoff will end up being a blessing in disguise!
Thank you to all of you who have been keeping us in their prayers.

All right, Harv !!!
Now that's the kind of news I like to hear !
So glad you were able to find a job, and congratulations to Deb on her latest poem. I'm thinkin' that I ought to be hearing if THE BLUFF will be published soon too. It wasn't long after Deb submitted that I did.
I'm so happy for the both of you .

That is great news Harv!!
Very happy for both you and Deb - now, as PG asked, you will be able to take time off to ride, right? |

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'll get 4 weeks vacation the first year, and can carry over up to 4 additional weeks per year! During my interview we talked about horses, and when she called me later to make the job offer, she said "You haven't fallen off any horses this week, have you, because I am going to have a vested interest in your health!" I think she jinxed me, because that was on a Friday, and on Sunday I hit the dirt (oh, forgot to mention that to you guys!)
Only one minor downside, we have a trip to Shawnee planned for Oct 21-24, and I think that's a little too soon to take Thurs & Fri off, so I'll have to send Deb and Adam on Thursday and then join them Friday night. Oh well, I'll be taking bags of money with me!! |

Four weeks of vacation a year??? Do they need anymore help, LOL?
Ed asked if I was interested in the Shawnee ride, but, darn, I've already used or scheduled just about all of my vacation time.
Again, I'm really glad things are going better for you!

Hey DE pals,
My daughter Mahala is in a photo contest to win an iPad. She has some disabilities (can't speak) and would love to have the iPad as a communications thing for her friends. I hate to ask favors, but if you could vote for her, I would really appreciate it. Just click on this link:
http://contest.gehringortho.com/entries/80390?=e0
Then vote for her photo, and it will ask you for your email address and a password (you can use ANY password you want...just make one up!!). Once you vote, it will send you an email, and you have to click on the link in the email to confirm your vote.
Thanks to all my friends...I appreciate your help for Mahala!

| Thanks everyone!!! Mahala is now ahead in the voting count...but it's very, very close, and there are still two more days of voting...so she could use every vote possible. So if you get a chance, please vote for her. She is a horse rider and horse lover!! She rides at Miracles In Motion...a therapeutic riding center for handicapped children. |

| Thanks all my DE friends! Voting is over, and it looks like Mahala won. On the website it says she got 290 votes, and the closest other one got 206 votes. So it appears that Mahala won! Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote for her! She is soooooo excited and happy. Thank you DE friends. And special thanks to Appygirl who recruited a lot of votes for Mahala...she is awesome!! |

Glad to hear that, and hope she did, indeed, win! Not sure my vote counted; I thought I was to receive a confirmation e-mail, but never did.
Tell her we are excited for her!
